    As every seasoned traveller knows, road trips are as much about the stories you bring home as the places you visit. According to Europcar, who have analysed 47 million Instagram images, these are the 10 trips you won’t forget in a rush:

    1. Seattle to San Diego

    Head from north to south along this 1,476 mile route that takes you through the best of USA’s west coast. Sound City itself Seattle is your first stop, before you’ll take in the views of Mount Rainier National Park, the wines of Napa and the wonder of the Golden Gate Bridge. You’ll travel along the jaw-dropping coastal drive of Big Sur, through Santa Barbara and finish your expedition in San Diego.

Next the Mojave Desert beckons with a visit to Calico Ghost Town and the drive of your life at Red Rock Canyon.
