Globe Trotting

    01  — Amanruya, Turkey
The (perhaps unfairly) maligned Bodrum Peninsula is undergoing a luxury facelift. This new hotel from Aman Resorts has 36 cottages, each with its own garden and pool.

    02  — Treehotel, Sweden
Witness the beginning of spring from a great height. The Mirrorcube is one of five whacky treehouses in Harads, all of which have en suite bathrooms.

03 — Monastero Santa Rosa, Italy
This converted 17th-century monastery on the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast will open as a boutique hotel in May; each of the 20 rooms has a view of the sea.

    04 — Niyama, Maldives
Per Aquum’s new hotel, sister resort to the much-loved Huvafen Fushi, is home — rather bizarrely — to the Maldives’ first underwater nightclub.

05  — The Beer Moth, Invernesshire
Our mad enthusiasm for camping with a difference is still going strong. This 1950s fire engine in the Cairngorms has an oak floor, double bed and wood-burning stove.

    06 — Hong Kong Airlines
The airline launched a business-class only route between Gatwick and HK in March; flight attendants practise Wing Chun to build team spirit.
