Exhibition preview: Keith Cunningham at Hoxton Gallery

    26 September 2016

On Friday an exhibition opens at Hoxton Gallery that aims to bring to the work of  the late Keith Cunningham to a wider audience. Cunningham, who died in 2014 at the age of 85, was a contemporary of Frank Auerbach and Leon Kossoff at the Royal College of Art in the mid-1950s. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Beaux Arts Gallery before going on to pursue a career as a graphic designer. He continued painting, visiting his studio every day, but few got to see his work – until now, that is. Here’s a sneak preview of the exhibition, Unseen Paintings, 1954-1960, which runs from September 30 – October 13.
