Gallery: Mario Testino at Sotheby’s

Artwork from the acclaimed photographer’s private collection is going under the hammer

Mario Testino is selling off artworks from his private collection in a sale at Sotheby’s, London. The sale of pieces owned by the legendary Peruvian fashion photographer, entitled Shake It Up, features art by Chris Ofili, Gilbert & George, Wolfgang Tillmans and many more. There will be a live auction on September 13, as well as an online auction. An exhibition of the pieces that are up for sale is open to the public at Sotheby’s HQ in New Bond Street from today until Wednesday. It is hoped the sale will raise around £10 million, with the money going to Testino’s non-profit museum, Museo MATE, in Lima. See below for a selection of the artworks from the collection.
