A National Gallery blockbuster exploring the influence of the Arnolfini Portrait

The National Gallery’s upcoming blockbuster, Reflections: Van Eyck and the Pre-Raphaelites, which opens on October 2, is one to book ahead for. The show takes one of the treasures of the National’s collections, Van Eyck’s Arnolfini Portrait, and uses it as a jumping off point to explore the influence of the painting on Pre-Raphaelites including Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Sir John Everett Millais and William Holman Hunt.
