Animal magic at the V&A

Conservation Couture: The Animal Ball Collection is an exhibition in aid of a good cause

Conservation Couture: The Animal Ball Collection launched last night in the usually closed off dome, known as the Cupola, at the top of the V&A. The collection of masks inspired by the animal kingdom, created by leading fashion houses, are on display as part of a venture in support conservation NGOs including the Elephant Family and The Aspinall Foundation. The show is a prelude to the Animal Ball on November 22 at which 40 dinners will simultaneously take place at top restaurants across London. Attendees will purchase a mask rather than a ticket in order to attend. Princess Eugenie, Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman and Amber Le Bon all turned out for last night’s bash.
