One of the most anticipated events in the British jump racing calendar and highlight of the three day Winter Festival at Newbury (26 – 28th November).
The highly anticipated race will see 60 runners enter this year, the highest number since 2010. British trainer Nicky Henderson, who had winners in both 2012 and 2013 with Bobs Worth and Triolo D’Alene, will be hoping for another good run this year. Without Oliver Sherwood’s Many Clouds defending his title after last year’s win, the race will be hotly contested for Henderson and others including Gordon Elliott with Don Cossack and Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Mark Bradstock with Coneygree.
Channel 4 Racing, with AP McCoy, will be broadcasting coverage of the day, starting with The Morning Line live from Newbury at 8am, with afternoon racing live from 1:30pm and The Hennessy Gold Cup at 3:00pm
